Imagine.....
a beautiful landscape of rolling hills
dotted with rows of lavender and
everywhere you look, unencumbered views
of the canyonlands. This is our farm!
Five years ago we planted lavender
as a new venture. Our desire for a
sustainable way of living brought us to
this plant and it's many valuable
properties, so as we tested 400 plants
of different species/varieties, we
started to imagine the unlimited
possibilities before us.
We found out very quickly that lavender
was well suited to this rugged terrain,
so it was just a matter of how much,
when and where.
So we chose three different species
(L. Angustifolia, L. Intermedia, & L.
Stoechas) and eighteen varieties
within these groups totaling 3,500
plants.
We spread them out over three
acres, keeping the rest of the
150 acres to native landscape.
Because of the many varieties,
we have a successive bloom from April
thru June and sometimes a second bloom in
October and November. We open up the farm to
the public from May to July 4th and again
in October and November, with exact dates
posted on our website as we near the spring and fall seasons.
Our farm is owned and operated by three
generations of our family. We pride
ourselves on using sustainable organic
practices and honoring the land's
natural beauty.
Bring your family and
come see for yourself!!
